This location was the first "super market" design for Garden Fresh Market. The plaza it was at was even titled after the store, the name of the plaza being "Garden Fresh Plaza". However, as Dominick's closed their doors on 770 South Buffalo Grove Road in 2014, Garden Fresh Market would take up their old rival's place there. This would leave the "Garden Fresh Plaza" to lose its sole anchor and fade away into obscurity. Now, the main reason for Garden Fresh Market moving out is because at their new location they would be able to have an alcohol section, that combined with a larger space, is why they left.
After the departure, the building was demolished in 2015, with the plaza being demolished in 2022. Today, the only thing that is left is an abandoned Marathon/Clark gas station at the corner of the property, and the silouet of what was once there.
